The semiconductor industry is already in a stressed position to meet the ever rising demand. First with Covid-19 causing plant shutdowns and more recently with Russia's war on Ukraine disrupting global trade. Now, there has been a new development in the supply chain, when 3M's Zwijndrecht plant was asked to shutdown by the Belgian government over emissions controls.
