2H Resources Selected as Preferred Applicant For He and H2 Exploration Licenses in Australia

2H Resources, a wholly owned hydrogen and helium business of Buru Energy, was announced the preferred applicant for a grant of six South Australian petroleum exploration licences. The licences cover a total area of 30,000 km2, and two additional applications for Gas Storage Exploration Licences of 5,700 km2. A resource assessment by RISC Advisory has estimated six application areas from 49 mm KG (1U) to 1.3 bn KG (3U). The company has initially focused its activity on hydrogen in South Australia where the forward-looking legislative framework has led to heightened interest in exploration for both hydrogen and helium.
