The US BLM's (soon to become Messer's) Cliffside Helium plant has experienced a notable decrease in production over the last two weeks, with a sharper than usual decline from average levels. Production dropped from ~1.3mmcf/d to 0.8mmcf/d initially, plummeting to virtually zero on 20th Mar'24. It then recovered to 1.1mmcf/d by 21st Mar'24. This fluctuation could be due to unplanned maintenance works; historically, such prolonged dips in production have not been observed, with downturns typically lasting only 1-2 days. Extended periods of downtime have previously only been associated with planned maintenance, as was the case in Apr’23.
