China experienced a large drop in helium imports in Oct'22, down from 68mmcf in Sept to 45mmcf in Oct (~33% fall m/m). Volumes decreased from all exporting countries across the board, indicating weak demand from China in Oct'22, possibly related to the COVID lockdowns. Total imports have fallen to the lowest levels since Feb'21; China is responsible for ~15-20% of the global helium market.
