Philips celebrates the installation of over 1,000 BlueSeal magnet systems worldwide, a 1.5T fully sealed magnet technology that reduces helium usage to just 0.5% compared to conventional MRI systems. Introduced in 2018, this technology addresses helium scarcity, simplifies installation, and extends MRI accessibility to remote and disaster-prone areas. However, we estimate that this system barely impacts overall MRI demand for helium when looking at the MRI industry as a whole.
