Helium imports drop sharply in April

Global helium imports were sharply lower in April according to the data that we track. This is in line with our prior expectations as there were LNG outages in Qatar and Australia earlier in the year translating into weaker imports especially into Asia. This was compounded by the US BLM outages meaning lower exports out of the US and the volumes that were being sold from the US tended to be at higher pricing.
