USGS Focus Areas for Data Acquisition for Critical Minerals

The USGS recently released a report where it identified focus areas for data acquisition of 13 critical minerals including helium. Through an initiative called the Earth Mapping Resources Initiative (Earth MRI), it conducted phases to identify areas for acquiring new geologic framework data to identify potential domestic resources of the 35 mineral materials designated as critical minerals for the United States.
