In a recent interview with one of the local retailers in the US, it was revealed that some have not been able to access helium in over 8 weeks. The main reason was the slowdown of supply from the helium facility at Texas. Even from a price point, a tank of helium was earlier costing US$225 but has now shot up to US$490. This has also impacted the balloon retail prices which used to be US$1.75 but are now ~3x more at US$5.
