Total Helium received approval from the Arizona Oil and Gas Conservation Commission for the drilling permit of the first of five additional tests, the 23-10 well. The well targets the Shinarump formation at a depth of 1,000ft, offsetting a historical well abandoned in 1971. Future tests will involve open-hole logs and core samples for enhanced reservoir understanding. The second well, anticipated in late February or early March, will aim to explore elevated helium values identified in soil gas samples. While recompletion efforts on two existing wells proved unsuccessful, Total Helium emphasises ongoing efforts to comprehend the Shinarump reservoir for future economic production.
