Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. (TSMC), the world's largest contract chipmaker, is planning to spend US$40-US$44 billion in capital expenditure for 2022 The highest-ever in TSMC's history, is higher than 2021, when the chipmaker spent NT$839.2 billion (US$30.04 billion) in capital expenditure, which was an increase of 65.4 percent from 2020.
