The USGS did not cover itself in glory in front of the Senate Commitee on Energy and Natural Resources with some pitiful answers to the questions on helium. In particular there was no good explanation for why Helium’s trade exposure score is 0 and, in turn, its supply risk score is 0 when we are in a period of profound helium shortages and also why the USGS relies on such poor and out dated data.
