Royal Helium's fracing programme at the Climax-4 vertical well was successful and tested 0.57% helium over the 100-meter interval. The helium grade is consistent with the initial DST. Royal will now advance Nazare to the next stage to maximize the development of this particularly thick and large pay zone . However this suggests that given the low reservoir quality, more expensive wells, using multi-stage, multi-leg horizontal fracs, will be required to develop the Nazare formation on the Climax field.
