Renergen (ASX:RLT) has discovered helium with a concentration of 1.1% at its Evander Exploration Rights prospect in South Africa. Evander spans across around 52,000 hectares. The well was first drilled years ago and had no surface infrastructure, resulting in it becoming waterlogged, despite this set back, the gas was able to overcome the water pressure, producing producing 5 mcf per day. “Evander is a very interesting prospect, with the discovery solidifying our intent to attempt to convert these exploration rights into a production right,” said Renergen CEO Stefano Marani.
