Brazil normally imports ~7mmcf monthly, mainly coming from the US. Imports in the last few months have been choppy, although pricing has increased substantially. Since Feb'22, prices have increased ~125% to US$673/mcf in Aug'23 (YTD up 31% y/y), which was the highest ever pricing recorded. Volumes in Aug'23 were merely 3mmcf, solely coming in from the US. Brazil has been attempting to diversify its helium sources with a few cargoes from elsewhere but it is still largely relying on the US.
