Private companies Proton Green and Lone Cypress Energy have come together to form a partnership for helium exploration and carbon sequestration. Helium is planned to be produced out of the St. Johns Gas Unit in Apache County, Arizona, which is anticipated to hold upwards of 33bcf of associated helium reserves. Lone Cypress will be responsible for the construction and operation of all the associated midstream gathering and processing infrastructure from Proton Green’s St. Johns field.
