Linde to Provide Upgrade to CERN's Large Hadron Collider

Linde Engineering will supply and install cryogenic refrigeration system upgrades to CERN’s Large Hadron Collider (LHC). The LHC is a 27km long ring through which two high-energy particle beams are accelerated close to the speed of light before smashing into one another. The process requires an environment with temperatures of -271.3C, with a requirement of ~25mmcf of helium.
