In a recent dialogue with Greg Robb, president and CEO of Helium Evolution, severe concerns about the nature of pricing in the helium industry were highlighted. He mentioned that in a span of a year, there has been a lot of speculation in the pricing since it is all wrapped behind non-disclosure agreements by "midstreamers" - those who buy from producers, process and then sell it to end users, who have dominated the helium industry. The data is available on what the current price is, but only through helium consultants who track private contracts or are themselves "midstreamers".
