Japanese Minister Inspects Helium Cooled Gas Reactor

Japanese Economy, Trade and Industry Minister Nishimura Yasutoshi inspected the high temperature gas-cooled reactor, or HTGR being developed to produce energy more efficiently. The HTGR uses helium gas for coolant, and is touted to have superior characteristics of safety and economy.
