Iran to produce first helium at South Pars

The Iranian Oil Ministry recently announced its agenda to tap into the huge helium reserves in the South Pars field, one of the largest gas fields in the world containing huge helium reserves. This is the same field which straddles the border with Qatar from which Qatar produces its helium, known as the North Field. Iranian technology companies will soon begin the country's first ever project to produce helium at South Pars, the world's largest gas field, a senior official said.
