Imperial Helium began drilling on its first well (IHC-1) at the Steveville field in the first week of July and wrapped up by the end of the month, reaching a depth of 2167.46m penetrating the crest of the structure. Imperial is soon expected to commence completion and production testing of the IHC-1 and move onto preparing for field operations for drilling HC-2. Management claims that the initial surveys reinforce their production estimates of 1.1 Bcf of recoverable helium.
