In collaboration with Quantum Delta NL, a new white paper explores critical raw materials for the future supply chain of quantum technology. Despite the current volumes of these raw minerals involved in creating quantum technology being insignificant in global mining, almost all materials are designated as critical or strategic by the European Commission. The white paper emphasises potential bottlenecks in semi-finished products and isotopes, particularly highlighting helium-3. The findings stress the need for further policy action and in-depth analysis to monitor and secure quantum technology supply chains, crucial for the EU's economic security and strategic autonomy.
