Doosan joins X-energy's helium-cooled nuclear reactor

Doosan Heavy Industries, a key contractor in South Korea's nuclear power industry, entered into contract with X-energy to develop a high-temperature gas-cooled nuclear reactor that uses helium gas as a coolant instead of water. Doosan will be responsible for designing the modular reactor and conducting mock-up tests for critical manufacturing processes. The scale and funding of the operation is not yet disclosed.
