Dollar Tree is concerned about their balloon sales

Dollar Tree executives said in an earnings call yesterday that a lack of helium supply was threatening balloon sales. The helium shortage is trickling down even to a general consumer levels as Nebraska football fans will not be releasing balloons this fall at the Memorial Stadium mass-release balloons on the first Husker touchdown of a home game. Along with Dollar Tree, Party City also echoed those same concerns in its report earlier this month. In the last two months, even the National Weather Service warned that it would need to reduce the frequency of weather balloon launches due to the shortage.
