Docomo develops blade-free helium drone

NTT Docomo Inc has developed a blade-free, blimp-type drone equipped with a high-resolution video camera that captures high-quality video and full-colour LED lights that glow in radiant colours. The drone uses helium to stay aloft and is propelled by ultrasonic vibrations. It is expected to be used for events and other practical purposes including aerial videography. Docomo aims to commercialize the product by next March (2022).
