600ft Airship planned by LTA Research

LTA (Lighter Than Air) Research, a company owned by Google co-founder Sergey Brin aims to build the longest US Airship that has flown since the 1930s according to the Akron Beacon Journal. For its new airships, LTA Research is also planning to use helium.

Pathfinder 3, at 600 feet long and 100 feet in diameter, is designed to carry about 20 tons and be able to traverse as many as 10,000 miles using electric-only, zero-emission propulsion. The goal is to start building it this year with a possible first flight in 2023 or 2024.
